DorobekInsider: Sending positive thoughts to GSA’s Godwin and her son
Our thoughts go out to GSA’s Bev Godwin and her family. Godwin is the director of USA.gov and Web Best Practices in GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications.
Godwin’s son, Ross, was in Dallas. I don’t have the full details, but… last week, he was apparently robbed, his car was stolen and he was shot. He has survived, thank goodness, and I have heard that he is out of the hospital.
If I get any other information, I will pass it along. As always, keep Ross and Bev Godwin in your thoughts. And I’ll post if there is anything that we can do for the family.
Oh, no! This must be so hard on her family. Bev’s already suffered from the death of her husband.

Bev,I am so grateful he’s OK and out of the hospital-this is pretty horrifying. I send you a big hug!

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Friends have been so helpful throughout. Ross is doing extremely well. He has lost sight in his right eye, but that is the only long term damage. After being shot it the head, this is truly miraculous. He returned to work this week, as did I. Ross’s car was found (unfortunately under water) and the assailant was caught and is in custody. Likely to be in jail for a very long time.
